So as you noticed from my last post, wedding planning has kind of taken over my life. I feel like it’s all I ever think or talk about, much to (assumed) displeasure of those around me (and those stored in my Gmail, phone, etc.) I’m sorry for that. I swore I wouldn’t become “that girl,” but I sure enough did.
So, what’s new with the wedding? Here are some updates:
Attire – All of the bridesmaids and groomsmen have their wedding day attire – GOOD JOB, YOU GUYS! The boys have been measured for their tuxes and the girls have all purchased their beautiful dresses from White House/Black Market. It’s funny, I saw the girls’ dress online and instantly fell in love with it, but was hesitant to “push” it on them. That is, until 2 of my 4 bridesmaids emailed me the same picture within 5 minutes of each other saying they thought it was the perfect bridesmaid’s dress. DONE AND DONE! Thanks, ladies :)
Also related to attire – MY DRESS CAME IN!!! I cannot wait to try it on in April when I go home for the bridal shower!!!
Bridal Shower – Speaking of the bridal shower, it’s Saturday, April 9! I just got the invitation in the mail yesterday and it was SUPER cute – thanks to Lindsay and Elizabeth for picking it out and planning all of the fabulous details!! It’s going to be a complete surprise to me, and I can’t wait for the party :) I’m having a hard time not peeking at our registries (Bed, Bath & Beyond, Target and Williams-Sonoma), but Lindsay threatened my life, so I can’t :)
Bookings – I have officially booked every vendor needed for the wedding! It’s a miracle!! I’m so pumped, but now the devil is in the details.
The Details – I had a small mental breakdown over the details last week. I’m fine now. I just needed a cocktail.
Honeymoon – WHOO HOO!!!! Cocktails!!! Yes, it’s true – Chad picked the most amazing honeymoon EVER for us, and everything is all paid for and ready to go. All we need now is to be married! We’re going to the Valentin Imperial Maya in Playa del Carmen/Riviera Maya (just south of Cancun). This 5-star, all-inclusive, adults-only resort is TO. DIE. FOR. It was on the Travel Channel for crying out loud! We got the Emerald Suite (just below the Presidential Suite on the fanciness scale), and it really is going to be the trip of a lifetime. Whenever I get stressed, I just think about us relaxing on the white sand beaches and I am happy again :)
I think that pretty much hits the high points!
